We refer to them as Convention Services, but the Laredo Convention and Visitors Bureau is eager to assist anyone who has schedule a convention, conference, seminar, trade, show, event or any activity, which will utilize hotel/motel sleeping rooms in the City of Laredo.
LCVB services are available at no cost to qualifying groups. The minimum criteria is related to such factors as the number of hotel rooms booked, the number of nights spent in Laredo, the number of delegates attending, the percentage of attendees from outside of Laredo, etc.
The Bureau provides a lead system in which you can complete a Request for Proposal. You can also send your event details to Sofia Soto to initiate planning or call 956-795-2200. Request a Sport Planner Guide or Meeting Planner Guide.
The Bureau can plan an escorted site inspection of the potential hotels and venues that match your event needs. It will be our pleasure to guide you as you explore the many local attractions your group might be considering for an upcoming event.
The Bureau will sponsor a welcome reception (icebreaker) to qualifying groups featuring Laredo’s signature drinks, "Border Breeze" and "Sol de Laredo". These unique cocktails always receives great reviews and sets the right tone for your gathering.
For qualifying groups, attendees will receive a gift bag with Laredo's souvenirs and the Visitor Guide.
Our poised and knowledgeable staff can assist you with onsite registration, name badges, and general information about Laredo.
Special promotional efforts and attendance-building materials are also available to assist you in promoting your event.
Whether you’re looking for activities for spouses, family members or VIP guests, we will customize an itinerary that best suits your needs. Your guests will feel right at home while you take care of business.
The Bureau is able to facilitate contact with public officials or civic organizations to help secure letters of invitation and will be glad to coordinate welcomes for convention opening ceremonies.
The Bureau can help assist your meeting by gathering service providers for audiovisual services, catering, decorating, entertainment, floral, and rental equipment.
Our staff can supply images and copy for your event brochure and collateral. To generate the recognition you desire CVB can assist in publicizing your event through local media.
